The Australian Lung Foundation delivers programs to assist in reducing the impact of lung disease. 

These initiatives are guided by multi-disciplinary consultative groups, comprised of key opinion leaders in the field of respiratory medicine who provide clinical advice and strategic guidance.

Research by The Australian Lung Foundation shows that seven million Australians aged over 35 years are at risk of lung disease¹.  This has a dramatic impact on the quality of life for patients, their families and carers and costs Australia billions of dollars each year.

The Australian Lung Foundation offers a range of Awards to facilitate and encourage research into lung disease.  Over the past six years, more than $1.6m has been awarded.

Conflict of Interest

All members of The Australian Lung Foundation Consultative Groups are required to lodge declarations of potential conflicts of interest with The Australian Lung Foundation on an annual basis. Such disclosures include the receipt of unrestricted educational grants, sponsorship, consultancy or other affiliations with the pharmaceutical, medical equipment or diagnostic industries.
