Our Research AwardsThe Australian Lung Foundation, as part of its Mission, raises funds to promote medical research into the cause, treatment and cure of lung conditions. Our aim is to advance the understanding, prevention and treatment of lung disease in Australia and New Zealand.
2009/2010 Research Awards
The Australian Lung Foundation seeks applications for its 2009/2010 Research Awards Program. There are 5 Awards for which applicants can apply this year. The application period commences on 1st September, 2009 with the closing date being 5pm on 30th October 2009. Assessment of all Research Award applications is undertaken by the Research and Education Sub-Committee of The Thoracic Society of Australia & New Zealand on behalf of The Australian Lung Foundation. All applicants will be notified whether they have been successful / unsuccessful with their application by 31 January 2010. The Awards will be presented to the successful applicants at the Annual Scientific Meeting of The Thoracic Society of Australia & New Zealand which is scheduled for March 2010 in Brisbane. How we Award GrantsThe applications for all awards are assessed by members of the Education and Research Sub-Committee of The Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ). The judging criteria for each award is detailed on the application form.
Applying for a GrantMost of our ‘call for applications' is scheduled for August with a closing date of 30 October and announcement at the next TSANZ Annual Scientific Meeting.
