World COPD 2008 Event Photo Gallery Print E-mail

Support group members and Pulmonary Rehabilitation centre staff and patients around Australia marked World COPD Day on November 19, 2008 by coordinating events to assist with raising public awareness about COPD.

Some group activities were limited by the weather, but participants could not be detered and to date the national tally for the total distance walked stands at 1864 kms. 

Groups are still finalising and submitted their figures so please stay posted for an update of the national total.

Online ForumThe Lung Foundation has launched an Online Forum to promote the exchange of support, understanding, hope and practical information between Australians who live with lung cancer and/or people who are dedicated to improving the quality of life of lung cancer patients. Registration on the Foundation website is required to make posts to the Forum.
