Hi everyone
Sorry it's been a few weeks since our Wild O8 day. We had a very successful day with almost 50 people turning up. Had a lovely morning tea at Tooradin after the first part of the motorbike ride. We continued on to the Hastings foreshore for a fantastic BBQ. The girls sold home knitted teddies, with tags on them that said,"Hello i'm a little Wild Bear, handmade with lots of love. If you buy me you can Tame me" & knitted dogs, fancy lollie bags, that said, "these lollies are guaranteed to make you wild",gorgeous baskets full of goodies for the raffle & charged $10 for the lunch. We raised almost $2000 which i believe we will make as one of the girls is putting the photos on disc & selling them at this months meeting this Wed. Everyone was interested in my story about Kylie & very enthusiastic about the day, they thoroughly enjoyed it. I got through the day well even though it was day 3 after chemo. I have an amazing bunch of friends and this was so much fun.
Photos to come.

Would you like to host a Lunch for Lungs? 1 Year, 5 Months ago
Dear all

November is Lung Health Awareness Month, and The Australian Lung Foundation is busy promoting our Lunch for Lung Cancer events throughout Australia.

Heritage Building Society in Queensland is promoting the lunches through their 60 Queensland branches, Concord Hopsital in Sydney is have a large lunch for 200 people in their function room and Cape York Health Service District in Weipa are hosting a lunch.

The Lung Foundation hopes to increase the funds raised this year by at least twenty per cent to $75000.

Proceeds from the Lunch for Lung Cancer events will go directly to establishing a lung nurse on a 1800 number to provide comprehensive information, support, hope and understanding to patients, their carers and families.

You can register your lunch online - go to www.kjlcn.org.au and click on fundraising.
